The Not What I Ordered World Tour is Matt Mathews’ first world tour and his biggest run yet: more than 100 shows between Sept 11, 2026 and Jun 12, 2027, across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Dublin. Here is where it came from, what the show is about, and how to get the right ticket for the right show time.

From farm-chore videos to a world tour

Matt was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He first got national attention during the pandemic with his viral “farm chore” videos, and his official bio now counts more than 15 million followers and over 1 billion views across platforms. Comedy started as an escape from his full-time job as a boudoir photographer. He first did stand-up in 2022 and moved quickly from clubs to theatres and arenas. His previous tour, Boujee On A Budget, sold more than 250,000 tickets. It included several nights at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and his first arena show, in his hometown of Birmingham. The special from that tour, Boujee On A Budget, is free on YouTube, as is his first special, When That Thang Get Ta Thang’n, recorded at the Alabama Theatre in 2024. What Not What I Ordered is about

The tour was announced on May 18, 2026. The official description promises stories about relationships, family, fame, farm life, mental health and everyday chaos, told in his “brutally honest” style. It is stand-up for grown-ups: expect adult language and themes, which is why most theatres suggest 18+ and casino venues are usually 21+. A tie-in single, “Not What You Ordered” (note the You), came out in August 2026.

Early show or late show?

This is the question that trips people up. Demand was strong enough that dozens of cities added a second show, usually on the same night. Typical pairs are 7:00 PM and 10:15 PM on weeknights, or 4:30 PM and 8:00 PM on Saturdays. Atlanta has the biggest run, with four shows at the Coca-Cola Roxy on Feb 12 and 13, 2027. The late show at Hammond, near Chicago, starts at 11:00 PM.

• Each show is a separate event. Tickets for the 7:00 PM show will not get you into the 10:15 PM show, so check the time on your listing before you pay.
• Early shows suit travellers and work nights. You get home at a sensible hour, and the earlier Saturday slots leave the evening free.
• Late shows are worth a look. Many were added after the first on-sale, and prices can differ between the two shows, so compare both.

How to buy smart

Sellers vary by venue. Ticketmaster handles most US and Canadian dates and the Australia, New Zealand and UK shows. Some venues sell through their own box office or partner: AXS at Live! Casino Hanover, Etix at Oaklawn and Freedom Hall, Tixr in Dothan, and venue systems at places like the King Center, the Florida Theatre and the Carson Center. Each city guide names the official seller, and buying there at face value is the safest option when it has seats.

In our September 2026 snapshot, the cheapest resale seats for most shows started at roughly US$40 to $60, with some casino dates higher. Prices move daily, so compare the all-in price with fees.
