What is included in the Matt Mathews VIP package?
This is the official list of what the Not What I Ordered Q&A Experience includes, as published by the venues and Live Nation:

Is there a Matt Mathews meet and greet?
Not in the traditional sense. The package includes a group photo with Matt plus the Q&A session, and we did not find a separate individual meet and greet on any official page. If you want time with him, the Q&A Experience is the closest option, but expect to share it with the other VIP ticket holders that night. The VIP pages do say that photos and videos are allowed during the VIP experience itself.
Where is the VIP package sold?
It is sold online and at box offices through the same official seller as regular tickets. At some venues it appears as seats marked "VIP" on the seat map, not as a separate product. In Australia and New Zealand it is listed as the "Matt Mathews Q&A VIP Experience" by Live Nation. The Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre and the Carson Center in Paducah both describe the package on their show pages. Each of our city pages names the official seller, and our ticket guide lists them all.
How much does the VIP experience cost?
The price has not been published on the pages we checked, and it seems to vary by venue and market. The only way to see it is to open the official seller for your show and look for VIP seats. For regular ticket prices, see ticket prices.
Can I see photos from past VIP sessions?
Yes. The official site posts VIP photo galleries for each city on its VIP pictures page on mattmathews.com. As of late September 2026 there are galleries from the first week of the tour:

- Syracuse, NY (Sept 12)
- San Jose, CA (Sept 17)
- Redding, CA (Sept 18)
- Rancho Mirage, CA (Sept 19 and 20)
If you buy VIP, this is where to look for your group photo after the show. Timing of uploads is not published, so give it a few days.
Is the VIP experience worth it?
What works
- A premium seat is part of the package, so you are not sitting at the back
- The Q&A is a chance to hear Matt off-script, which regular tickets do not include
- The merch bundle (poster, lanyard, koozie, stickers, wax melt) is VIP-only
- A group photo is a real souvenir of a first world tour
Worth knowing
- The price is not published, so you cannot compare it in advance
- The photo is a group photo, not one-on-one time
- Merch value is personal: if you would not keep a poster or wax melt, it adds little
- Arriving early for the VIP part makes for a longer evening
Our view: if you are a big fan and the VIP price is not much above a good seat at your venue, it is a nice upgrade, mainly for the Q&A. Is VIP available on resale?
Sometimes VIP seats appear on resale marketplaces, but check the listing carefully. A resale seat in a VIP section may or may not include the Q&A, photo and merch, depending on how the original seller packaged it and whether the venue lets the package transfer. If the listing does not clearly say the full Q&A Experience is included, assume it is only a seat.
Is the VIP experience age-restricted?
The same age rules apply as for the show, which differ by venue: many theatres suggest 18+ and casinos are usually 21+. See our age limit guide.
